The Egyptian national football team or the Pharaohs national team is the official representative of Egypt in the sport of football. It is the first African and Arab team to reach the World Cup finals in 1934 and is the record holder in the number of African Nations Cup titles with seven titles, and also holds the title of the most participating teams in the same tournament with twenty-three participation.

The Egyptian Football Association was established in 1921 and joined FIFA in 1923 and joined the Confederation of African Football as a founder in 1957.
The colors of the Egyptian national team uniform consist of a red shirt, white shorts and black socks, relative to the colors of the flag of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Beginnings
The Egyptian Football Association held a meeting on December 2, 1922, and officially elected the first Egyptian team to play against the British national team. This team consisted of the players: Mahmoud Marai, goalkeeper, Fouad Gemayel, Muhammad al-Sayed, Riad Shawqi, Ali al-Husseini, Abd al-Salam Hamdi, in the defensive line - Ahmed Khulousi, Khalil Hosni, Hussein Hijazi, Mr. Abaza and Zaky Othman in the middle and attack, and with them as reserve Radwan, Muhammad Jaber, Ali Riad, Kamel Abd Rabbo and Abd Latif al-Husseini.
