ARSENE WENGER PRESENTS 2020 FIFA AWARDS TO LIVERPOOL’S WINNERS 🏆
Wenger presented Klopp and the Liverpool quartet with their coveted awards
Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger has presented Jurgen Klopp and four of his Liverpool players with FIFA trophies at the club's training ground.
Wenger works as FIFA's chief of global football development and travelled to the Reds' Kirkby base to hand out awards which were first announced last year.
Klopp was presented with his award having been named 2020 Best FIFA Men's Coach in December. Elsewhere, goalkeeper Alisson, right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, centre-back Virgil van Dijk and midfielder Thiago received their accolades after they were included in the 2020 FIFA FIFPro Men's World11.
Liverpool had more players in the star-studded XI than any other team after storming the Premier League title in the 2019/20 season.
Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk featured in defence alongside centre-back Sergio Ramos, then of Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies.
Thiago helped Bayern win a historic treble last August and featured in midfield alongside Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne and Bayern's Joshua Kimmich.
Lionel Messi, then of Barcelona, featured in attack alongside Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Bayern ace Robert Lewandowski, who was crowned 2020 Best FIFA Men's Player.
