The Doctor SOCRATES sketched by the greatest artists
Doctor SOCRATES marked football and his influence went beyond the game, the field and he is one of the players who will have most inspired the artists designers. In this subject, I am not going to make an exhaustive list of the artists who have sketched it, there are far too many of them, but only those who have had a close link with Old School Panini since the beginning of the adventure in 2010. But why Sócrates does he inspire artists so much? For me it comes down to two points, the first football, Sócrates is the ambassador of Joga Bonito, this slick Brazilian game that amazed the whole world one summer 82 and the second is political, the Doctor being at the head of the movement that we'll call the Corinthian democracy. Both leader in the field and captain of this famous Brazilian team at the 1982 World Cup, Sócrates is also a committed man in a country ruled by a ferocious military junta. If the subject interests you, I invite you to read again the very vast subject made the day after his death: Sócrates is not a whore. In the meantime, here are the different artists who have sketched the doctor, first of all my friend Mathieu Marcou (his site: footballtrafic.com) who does the graphics for OSP where Sócrates is in good place, as you can see first of all he has its own category of subjects and it is he that I chose alongside Michel and Diego to illustrate the links to OSP's social networks.
