Viewing event will celebrate anniversaries of enthralling matches
Fans of the beautiful game can enjoy a series of the best FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women's World Cup™ matches in July on the FIFA+ channel of your Smart TV.
Between 1 July and 15 July, the viewing event of full match replays will celebrate the anniversaries of the most enthralling fixtures from the men's and women's global event, including Germany's 7-1 semi-final demolition of hosts Brazil from 2014 on 8 July and USA’s 2-0 success against the Netherlands in the final of the 2019 tournament on 6 July.
Also featuring are a host of FIFA World Cup finals, including the showpiece matches between Italy and West Germany (11 July - 1982), Brazil and France (12 July - 1998), Netherlands and Spain (11 July - 2010) and France v Croatia (15 July - 2018). The goal-laden showdown between the USA and Japan from Canada 2015 will be screened in full on 5 July, an occasion when the Stars and Stripes roared into a 4-0 lead after just 16 minutes, with Carli Lloyd netting a hat-trick, before running out 5-2 victors.
The curtain comes down on the anniversary event on 17 July with the tense USA 1994 final between Brazil and Italy, where the two teams could not be separated over 120 minutes before Roberto Baggio’s penalty miss in the shootout handed glory to the South Americans.
The FIFA+ FAST channel (Free Advert Supported TV) is available on Smart TVs in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.
